In 2003, I started a job in a patisserie and it was there that I learned skills and tricks of the trade as far as baking, decorating and piping techniques. I began experimenting with cakes at home when it came time for my oldest son's first birthday a couple years later. 

 

In 2012, I began making sugar cookies, and similar to when I started cakes, it was around the time of my second son's first birthday. I wanted those cute cookie favors I'd seen all over party blogs- favors that would not only by delicious but match the party theme perfectly.  The cookier I wanted to order from was already booked, so I set out to learn to make them myself. With the help of online cookie and cake queens such as Sweet Sugarbelle and Sweetapolita, it wasn't too long after I began that I became "booked", too! And that was the beginning of Sweet Cookie Boutique, the rest is history!

Running my own little cookie business has been a learning process and I've been enjoying it every step of the way. I couldn't have gotten where I am today with my business without the outpouring of support from my customers, friends and family.
